The fashion pre-wedding shoot of the year is here.

On the eve of their once-in-a-lifetime 3 day wedding festival, we photographed Mark – www.doubletouchofficial.com & Van-Anh – www.vananhofficial.com – for a fashion inspired pre-wedding shoot on the Thu Bon River in Hoi An, Vietnam.

Their wedding event entitled Burning Nam 2023, is a fun play on words of the Burning Man festival in Nevada – where the newly wedded couple performed last year. Like that surreal experience, their own wedding was unanimously agreed by 170 guests flying in from around the world – that it was the best 3 day party they had ever witnessed, with music acts including a 10 piece orchestral group by the beach, to R&B and hip-hop and jazz ensembles at the wedding, to poolside day club DJ acts to round out the 3rd day of celebrations and recovery. One simply had to be there to experience it.

The Thu Bon River was the setting of the photoshoot, and it was the beating heart of the ancient town from the 15th century to the 19th century, and considered the most important trading port in Asia for many years, from afar as Europe and Africa. Its history and beauty was the perfect setting to create something unique for Mark & Van-Anh, whose couture dress designer is now gracing the Hollywood red carpets in recent times.

All eyes were on us that day for the spectacle by the river.

A personal shout out to Sidrah who came along to assist, with zero idea of what was about to transpire, who can’t swim and became very shaky as the boat went further away from land. But she stood tall, holding the flash in one hand and the dress in the other – and overcame her fears and jumping between boats when ordered to, we couldn’t have done this without her presence:)
