Ryan & Claudia – Kuitpo Hall, Kuitpo Forest

We came to the end of 2021 with a sense of cautious optimism – for myself, it was a feeling of achievement in fulfilling an incredible amount of weddings for clients in the last 2 months alone, and Ryan & Claudia’s wedding day marked the end of an extraordinary year that had been a stop start period for the wedding industry.

Going to Kuitpo Forest is always a treat for any photographer, especially in summer where we can look forward to the setting sun glinting through the forest pines, and a soft glow that bathes the bride and groom in a cinematic glow, and I made the most of it in the location photos in the forest.

Before their beautiful wedding day itself, we spent time at Southport Beach in Port Noarlunga – one of the most picturesque beach and cliffside settings in South Australia for a romantic pre-wedding photo session. This allowed the couple to get to know my approach to photography, and for me to get to know the couple and what they’re comfortable with.

When the day finally came, Kuitpo Hall served as a vintage centrepiece to the wedding, as the guests danced the night away and we came together for an amazing sparkler exit for the couple. Here’s to an optimistic 2022 for everyone.
