This is one of the most stylish same-sex weddings you will see in a long time.

Love is love, something so simple yet so complicated for many to comprehend and accept – served as a barrier for Marky Dong and Kenneth Dang for many years – with generational conservatism and cultural ideology coming from less progressive parts of Vietnam, but everything takes time.

They had met many years ago at a Full Moon Festival in Sydney, where Marky was enamored by Kenneth’s talkative personality working at a stall, and that began a relationship for the next decade.

Australia had not legalized same-sex marriages yet, and acceptance from family members was a trying barrier, but the couple prevailed through sheer stubbornness and their love for one another. And a decade later, the 15th of September 2023 saw hundreds of guests waved their Rainbow flags in celebration as the couple entered their gorgeous wedding reception hand-in-hand to families and loved ones.

Last year saw a 3-day pre-wedding shoot in Adelaide for photos and videos with different creative themes, culminating in an extravagant affair a year later in Sydney at The Highline Venue for the reception, including an emotional surprise proposal from one of the groomsmen to a bridesmaid to end the night with tears and laughter.

Love is love, always will be.
