What I truly loved about this wedding day, was the ability to turn it into a fashion-esque photoshoot – through the use of external lighting, locations and compositions – to bring out the vibrant colours that one may see in a magazine or advertising poster. There is simply none of the ‘vintage’ washed out filters here that a lot of wedding photographers tend to apply over all their photos.
Nel & Cindy wanted a small wedding, a union between Sri Lanka and Hong Kong where all guests were blessed to sample the cuisine and cultures of both nations throughout the day. It was also Sri Lankan New Year and a visit to the temple was a must after the tea ceremony at home.
This marked a successful return to Melbourne for me since COVID began 2 years ago, and I can wholeheartedly say – I missed shooting in this beautiful city.
